In May 1997,  they proceeded to the dismantling of the monument reduced in a bad state by the atmospheric agents. Also the rocchi below the statue of S. Oronzo, were in very bad conditions for the erosion of artistic conci. The statue of S. Oronzo, momentarily was placed, for being restored, in the cloister of the municipal palace, convent of the Franciscans until the beginning of the nineteenth century. After a meticulous restoration lasted approximately a year, statue and spire were replaced at their own place for being newly admires in their integral beauty.
