The Façade
It belongs to the ancient monastic complex of the conventual Franciscan fathers and you/he/she was built for the first time in 1304 on a ground given by the prince of Taranto Phillip. It surely had Gothic characters and it maintained them up to 1615 when it suffered big transformation and it was to a large extent reconstructed. In the second halves the Seven hundred one the Franciscan Fathers after having reconstructed the convent on project of the architect Pietro Magarelli handled to make under the direction of the teacher new also the church mason and sculptor Giuseppe Fasano and Nicolantonio Maldarella. The façade was projected in 1883 at the architect Gaetano Jurleo to harmonize you with the prospectus of the building of City into which the ancient convent has been turned. The inside is to unique aisle and introduces a paginated homogeneous in the lines and in adorns him. They admires an elegant dome, plasters of merit, an imposing greater altar with baluster in marble and two angels you hold up torch attributed to the Sanmartino, a cloth of Luca Giordano raffigurante Mosè, different wooden statues of the XVII and XVIII century among which that of St. Joseph of 1695 and that of the immaculate one of the beginnings of the Seven hundred one.
